Immerse yourself in the awe inspiring vistas of Giants Castle within the Maloti-Drakensberg mountain range.
Road trip inland towards the Maloti-Drakensberg World Heritage Site before arriving at the emerald Giants Castle Nature Reserve. Meet your anthropologist, Dr Jeremy Hollmann, who will introduce you to the reserve before taking you on a hiking trail.
Explore the rugged terrain as you make your way to the Main Caves and delve deeper into the anthropology of the SAN people. At the Main Caves you will have a chance to see the exhibit which depicts SAN/Bushman as they are thought to have looked and lived.
Tuck into lunch at the Nottingham Road Restaurant (own cost) before journeying along the Midlands Meander. Visit to the internationally acclaimed Ardmore Ceramics where you can expect an explosion of creativity. Finish the day with an iconic stop at the Nelson Mandela Capture Site for a peek into South Africa’s notorious history and a bucket list photograph.
